Prof. Monika Sethi is the Head, Dept of English at the University of Jammu, with about 20 years of teaching experience at the Post- graduate level and has also been guiding research for M Phil and Ph D. She has guided 15 M Phil dissertations and 9 Ph D theses. She has participated in many national and international conferences and seminars and has published more than 25 research papers on various aspects of Canadian, American, African and Indian Literatures in English in national and international journals. She also has a book titled, Edward Albee: The Dream and the Absurd, to her credit. Her areas of specialization include American Drama, Literary Theory and New Literatures in English.
